Misplaced
Captain’s log.
It is the second day in the thirty seventh week of the two thousand and tenth year by way of the Gregorian calender. Sea.
I have misplaced my wooden leg. And had, whilst hopping my way across the captain’s quarters, severed the strap on my beloved eye-patch in which my left eye was left irreparably damaged due to the recoiled tension of the same eye-patch strap after it had snapped. I fell.
My fish bowl was in the way…
The series of bad choices that followed ensured that my crewmen fall victims to my uncontrollable and misdirected anger. This had indeed paved the way for serious errors in navigational judgment and poorly conceived contingency planning efforts.
Myself and my fellow crewmen have been sailing the sea for dark, grim, and seemingly endless months… and in all inevitability, we no longer have the will, nor do we have the means in which we can maintain survival. Our stores of food and fresh water have depleted… and this sea seems to bear neither fruit nor fish.
My first mate has just informed me that he believes me to be a descendant of monkeys that have banished me from their presence in an effort to preserve their dignity. He broke my golden navigator’s telescope and stormed out.
I am now a lesser-limping, one-eyed, goldfishless, both thirsty and starved, lost captain with no functioning telescope nor a reliable first mate.
This shall be my final entry.
Please inform my wife that she is a heartless witch, and that I curse the day on which we were wed.
